Iowa State Representative Jim Van Engelenhoven says that there will be no new legislation if it has a financial consequence as he prepares for Iowa’s 84th General Assembly. The legislative session that begins Monday will be different than past sessions after Republicans won back a record six seats from Democrats in November’s mid-term elections. The 84th Iowa General Assembly convenes Monday.
