The Mustangs went on the road Friday night and took care of business with a 60-47 win over the Jefferson-Scranton Rams. The PCM win coupled with Nevada’s upset win over North Polk gives PCM the outright large school division championship in the Heart of Iowa Conference. PCM not only had the pressure of playing for a share of division title but also entered the game without leading scorer and rebounder Scott Bruxvoort who did not make the trip because of illness. The Mustangs held a 16-12 lead after the first eight minutes on the strength of 10 first quarter points by Jordan Van Roekel. The lead was 13 at the halftime break after a Dillon Bruxvoort at the buzzer. Coming out of the locker room PCM took control of the boards and the game as Josh Fosenburg came alive in the second half scoring 10 of his 14 in the second stanza. Van Roekel led the Mustangs with 19 points. With the win PCM is now a perfect 17-0 on the season 12-0 in the Heart of Iowa Conference. The Mustangs will next be in action Tuesday against Ogden.
