After falling to Grinnell by five points back in December, the Pella Christian boys basketball team found themselves on the good end of the same point spread the second time around, as they beat Grinnell 55-50 last night.  Sam Tvedt again led the way for the Eagles’ offense, scoring 16 points, while Alex Branderhorst chipped in 14.  Chase Carlson may have had the biggest night for Pella Christian, though, as the senior forward not only scored 12 hard-earned points, but also limited Grinnell’s leading scorer – Dillon Gretzky –  to eight quiet points on the other end of the floor.

The win leapfrogs the Eagles over the Tigers into second place in the Little Hawkeye Conference standings, as Pella Christian now carries a 7-2 league record and an 11-3 overall mark into Friday’s Homecoming game against South Tama.
