Pella Christian boys will take the next couple days to get prepared for their Friday night game at Newton. The boys are coming off a big win in South Tama to open up their 2011 portion of the season, and while it’s good to get a win, coach Larry Hessing was not as impressed with the 45-point win as he was with the teamwork and dedication the boys showed Tuesday night.

He said “even though we may have been playing a lesser opponent tonight, the proof is really gonna be how we play from here forward, do we keep playing this same way or do we kind of revert to some of our old habits. I have a lot of confidence in these guys that we’re gonna be playing this same way even though the competition is going to get tougher.”

The boys will have their 3rd consecutive road game on Friday night before they return for a pair of home games next week against Oskaloosa and Pella on January 11th and 14th, respectively. The Eagles are 5-2 (2-1).
