A new athletic event that takes bicyclists across the entire state of Iowa will travel through Marion County this spring. The Ride Across Iowa in a Day (RAID) is a roughly 300 mile race across the state. This year’s route will travel along highway 92 from Council Bluffs to Muscatine on Saturday May 14th. In addition to the full journey there are also two half RAIDs, one in the morning from Council Bluffs to Indianola and another in the evening from Indianola to Muscatine. Registration for the event is now open and any athlete 18 or older who feels they are fit to handle the mental and physical rigors of the ultra-distance event is welcome. Entry fees are $157 for the full day and $127 for the half day. For more information or to register CLICK HERE.
