The Marion County Board of Supervisors will hold their annual organizational meeting this morning. Items on the agenda include the selection of a 2011 Board Chair and Vice-Chair, setting the official meeting times for the board, approving official county holidays for the calendar year, approval of a resolution accepting the Marion County Sheriff’s deputy and reserve peace officer appointments and approval of appointments to various Supervisor boards and commissions for the year. The meeting will take place at 9:30am in the board room of the Marion County Courthouse.
Following their organizational meeting the Marion County Board of Supervisors will meet in special session Monday morning. Items on the agenda include discussion on a proposal from the City of Knoxville regarding prisoner medical costs, discussion on a proposed 28E agreement from Warren County in regards to reimbursement for regional services provided by the Iowa Department of Human Services facility in Warren County and discussion on future plans for the county facilities that currently house the public health department. The meeting will take place at 10am in the board room of the Marion County Courthouse.
