At approximately 5:30 PM the Pella Police Department received a call from Pella Corporation, regarding a suspected pipe bomb outside their facility. Pella Police Officers, Marion County Emergency Management and the State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene. The Pella Fire Department and Pella Community Ambulance staged at their respective facilities to respond if needed. The State Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the object was benign construction materials at approximately 7:50 PM hours.
