The Central College men’s basketball team was able to neutralize an early 20-5 deficit against Buena Vista University last night, but couldn’t stop the Beavers post players in the second half, as the Dutch suffered a 76-68 setback at home. The game was tied at 30-30 at halftime, and Central used a 6-0 run in the second half to take a 50-44 lead, but Buena Vista answered with an 11-0 run and never trailed again. Demarco Turner again led the Dutch in scoring, tallying 20 points. It was the fifth time this season he hit the 20-point mark. Central is now 4-4 in the Iowa Conference, entering a home game Saturday against Loras.
