State Climatologist Harry Hillaker says Marion County took the brunt of a winter storm that moved throught the state, leaving about an inch and a half of snow on the ground which casued numerous accidents around Marion County. He says the rest of the state received about a half inch of snow with more expected early next week. Hillaker says high winds are expected to roll through the area Saturday with gusts reaching 35-40 MPH. He says not to expect temperatures to get above freezing for the next several weeks and that more snow is on the way early next week.
