Two Knoxville men were arrested Wednesday for a variety of drug charges. At approximately 7:40pm Wednesday Knoxville Police officers and members of the Mid Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant of a home in Knoxville that has been under investigation for roughly one year.
According to Police Chief Dan Losada, several concerned citizens provided crucial information when expressing concerns about activity at this house last winter. MINE Task Force officers were able to confirm this information and issue a search warrant. During the search of the home officers found over 1.5 pounds of marijuana.
As a result 41 year-old Gary Lee Galvin Jr. of Knoxville is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, maintaining a drug house, child endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia, 18 year-old Brandon Lee Galvin is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
Both men are being held in the Marion County Jail. Gary has a bond set at $14,000 while Brandon’s is $10,000. Preliminary hearings have been set for February 25th in the Marion County Courthouse.
