Though chances to take the game were within their grasp down the final stretch, the pieces just wouldn’t fall into place last night for the Pella Christian boys basketball team, as they fell at home to Norwalk 50-47.   Even more painful than the narrow loss to the Warriors, though, may be an injury to leader Alex Branderhorst, who had to leave the game with a painful shoulder injury.  The extent of his injury is unknown.

The Eagles’ Sam Tvedt and Kyle Nikkel led the way on offense with 13 points apiece, while Chase Carlson chipped in 10.  The Pella Christian boys are now 9-4 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, entering a Saturday make-up game with Newton.
