Governor Terry Brandstad says his administration intends to conduct a thorough review of the state’s infrastructure issues as they effect local business. He says that farm to market roads and county roads that have suffered in recent years from lack of upkeep need support. He says the money to pay for those improvements can be found within the road use tax fund and also by easing the tax burden on small businesses which allow them to grow and improve local economies. Another option would be to increase the gas tax. He says he wants a wants a comprehensive, bipartisan transportation plan to come out of the review.
