After sliding all the way from a potential third seed to the lowest slot in the Iowa Conference tournament, the Central College men’s basketball team will open postseason play tonight against the University of Dubuque.

The third-seeded Spartans carry a 9-7 record into the match-up with the Dutch, who finished the season in a four-way tie for fourth place with an 8-8 mark in league play. The two teams split the season series, with each squad winning on the opponent’s home court.

Tonight’s opening round of the Iowa Conference tournament begins at 7:00 p.m. at the University of Dubuque, with the winner advancing to face No. 2-seeded Coe College on Thursday.
