While fans were busy helping raise money for cancer rescherch during the day, the evening produced basketball in Knoxville Saturday night. The girls kept it close most of the way but could not make the key shot and fell to Carlisle 51-39. Twice the Panthers had it tied but each time the Wildcats would make a four or five points run ending the game on a 12-0 run. Assistant Coach Jeff Larson said while the girls played well…the shots would not fall when they needed them most. Alex Abens led Knoxville with 15 points as Knoxville drops to 7-12 on the season. Spirits were lifted however after the game as it was announced that the preliminary amount of $22,000 was raised during Coaches vs. Cancer event.
