A Knoxville Police Department squad car was involved in a two vehicle accident Thursday afternoon. According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office the Knoxville officer was traveling south on Lincoln Street on their way to an alarm call when it was struck by another vehicle which was traveling east on West Pleasant Street.
No injuries were reported though the squad car received significant front end damage.
Police Chief Dan Losada says they planned to drop the vehicle off for damage estimates Friday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s office reminds drivers to always pay attention to what’s going on around them and remain alert at all times.
