While we just had eight inches of snow, the staff at the Knoxville Raceway have been thinking of summer and the racing season all winter. Director of Marketing Brian Stickel says while the Knoxville Raceway is most importantly the Sprint Car Capital of the World, he adds in the last several years more than just sprint car racing events has taken place. The Late Model Nationals, Harris Clash Modifieds, and new this summer during the Marion County Fair an N-T-P-A truck and tractor pull on July 21st. Stickel says sprint car events are still the backbone and always will be.
