State Senator Paul McKinley and Representative Jim Van Engelenhoven were in Pella Saturday morning to speak with voters. Approximately 30 people showed up at Monarch’s for the coffee, and discussed issues ranging from education to health care to taxation. The event was sponsored by the Pella Chamber of Commerce and the Pella League of Women voters.
Senator McKinley also met with around two dozen city, county and school officials and residents in Knoxville Friday afternoon at the Chamber of Commerce Office. Among the items discussed included school funding, local budget issues and the future of the Knoxville VA campus.
