The National Weather Service reports that last week’s blizzard will be followed by up to two inches of snow overnight and through the morning today. As of 6AM approximately one to two inches of snow have fallen in of Marion County. The Iowa State Patrol and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that area roadways are up to 100% snow and ice covered and may be slick. There is a tow ban in effect on all state highways in the area. County road crews are in operation working on paved roads first; then will move to county gravel roads. Knoxville and Pella plows are currently in operation.
