Behind some of the best basketball they’d played all season, the Pella boys cruised to a surprising 81-46 rout of Grinnell Friday night in Pella.  In a game that was heard on kniakrls.com, the Little Dutch forced the Tigers into turnover after turnover, while getting great looks at the basket on the offensive end.

Pella outscored Grinnell 27-6 in the second quarter to put the game well out of reach, while Deckar Lynch put on an outside shooting clinic in the fourth quarter, finishing the night with a game-high 20 points that included six three-pointers.

No other player broke double-digits for the Little Dutch, but 12 additional players added at least 2 points to the scorer’s book.

The win keeps the Pella boys in a three-way tie for first place in the Little Hawkeye Conference, with a league record of 9-2 and an 11-3 overall mark.

The Little Dutch are back in action today against Fairfield.
