Behind some of the best basketball they’d played all season, the Pella boys cruised to a surprising 81-46 rout of Grinnell Friday night in Pella. In a game that was heard on kniakrls.com [1], the Little Dutch forced the Tigers into turnover after turnover, while getting great looks at the basket on the offensive end.
Pella outscored Grinnell 27-6 in the second quarter to put the game well out of reach, while Deckar Lynch put on an outside shooting clinic in the fourth quarter, finishing the night with a game-high 20 points that included six three-pointers.
No other player broke double-digits for the Little Dutch, but 12 additional players added at least 2 points to the scorer’s book.
The win keeps the Pella boys in a three-way tie for first place in the Little Hawkeye Conference, with a league record of 9-2 and an 11-3 overall mark.
The Little Dutch are back in action today against Fairfield.
