When the Masters Classic runs this June at the Knoxville Raceway, a new rule will be included. Last season sprint car stars such as Danny Lasoski, and Sammy Swindell raced with Swindell dominating the field. After fielding opinions on how to improve the show, the raceway has decided to institute a new rule. Along with the age requirement of 50 years or older…a driver also needs to certify that they have not raced in more than ten 410 sprint car events in the last two years. Raceway Director of Racing Ralph Capitani said the racing in last year’s Masters Class is was not as good as in past seasons. Cappy says the Masters Classic will be open to any driver 50 years of age and older by June third of 2011 and has not driven in more than ten 410 events in the last two years. He adds they can be an active 360 drive as well. The Masters Classic will be run Friday June second at the Knoxville Raceway.
