As most of our area teams, both Pella and Pella Christian had to postpone their scheduled games Tuesday night. Pella Christian was set to host Newton while Pella would’ve taken the road trip to South Tama, when 8 inches of snow were dumped onto south central Iowa.
Pella Christian girls have rescheduled their home game against Newton. They will play Thursday night. The boys, meanwhile, pushed their game back to February 12th.
Pella has rescheduled their doubleheader against South Tama for February 10th.
Pella Christian boys are 13-3 overall. They are tied with Pella for the Little Hawkeye Conference lead after ripping off 7 wins in a row. The girls are 12-3 and have a 6 game win streak of their own. They are 1/2 game back of Pella for second in the conference, and remain the only conference team to knock off South Tama this season.
The Little Dutch are 10-3 overall with an 8-2 conference record, identical to Pella Christian’s record. The Lady Dutch are 13-2 overall with a 9-1 conference record, just 1/2 game back of the Trojans.
The Lady Eagles will host Newton Thursday night, the boys will next play on the road at Oskaloosa on Friday.
Pella Little and Lady Dutch will play host to Grinnell on Friday.
