The Eagles hosted Des Moines Christian Saturday. With the help of a second half offensive outburst, the boys won 84-73. Not to be outdone by the Pella Christian girls (9 straight wins), the boys have strung together 9 straight wins of their own.

The Eagles trailed by 5 points at the half, but they scored 55 of their 84 points in the second half. Pella Christian had 5 players in double figures, Chase Carlson and Kyle Nikkel each scored 21 points. Sam Tvedt and Curtis Rozenboom added 12-a-piece and Alex Branderhorst had 10.

With the win, the Eagles are now 15-3 overall and 9-2 in Little Hawkeye Conference play. Pella Christian is tied with Pella and Norwalk for the conference lead, heading in to the Tulip City Showdown at Pella High on Tuesday night.

Tuesday will be Coaches vs. Cancer night as both teams and the community unites to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Dollars for Scholars will be hosting a soup supper prior to the games to raise money for local scholarships.

You will be able to hear both these games on 92.1 FM KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.COM. Join Eric Grillaert and Eric Gotschall for the pregame show starting at 6:00PM, with tip-off of the girls game scheduled for 6:15.
