The Little Hawkeye Conference has an intriguing match-up on this Friday night, as Pella Christian rolls into Oskaloosa for a girl-boy doubleheader. Although Oskaloosa’s conference title hopes may be dead, they proved they weren’t taking things lightly. Oskaloosa went in to Pella High School last week and surprised the Little Dutch with a 51-47 victory.

Now, Oskaloosa will play the other Little Hawkeye conference leader, the Eagles. Pella Christian enters the game with a 13-3 record this year, and are tied with Pella atop the conference (8-2). Pella hosts Grinnell tonight. The Eagles have a chance to sweep the season series with Oskaloosa, after a narrow win in game one on January 20th (58-57).

The Pella Christian girls (12-3) are still hoping for a conference title of their own with a record of 8-2 entering the game. Only Pella and South Tama are ahead of the Lady Eagles. They’ll be looking to sweep the season series with Oskaloosa. The first time around, the Lady Eagles rolled to a 67-39 victory.

You can hear both of these games live on 92.1 FM KRLS and streamed live at kniakrls.com. Eric Grillaert and Wynne Veenstra will be in Oskaloosa to bring you coverage of the Pella Christian-Oskaloosa games; while Eric Gotschall and Randy Sikkema will be at Pella High School on kniakrls.com for the contest against Grinnell. The pre-game for both contests will get underway at 6:00PM with tip-off of the girl’s games at 6:15PM. The Pella High basketball games will also be featured in a delayed broadcast on 92.1 fm KRLS, starting at 10:00 p.m.
