The Pella City Council met in regular session last night. The Council passed an ordinance concerning entry way signage, allowing signs for university or hospital entrances take an area of up to 110 square feet, an increase from the current limit of 36 square feet. The Council also passed a resolution to adjust loan rates on sewer revenue notes that should save the city approximately $98,000 over ten years. The previously proposed community board merger was also passed, converging the park, recreation and community center boards into one entity. The Council also decided to authorize the date of April 5th as the day to begin accepting bids on a digester lid project at the water plant.
