With a predicted high temperature of 66 degrees today, we could see a new record. The current record stands at 67 degrees and was set back in 1948. According to weathereye meteorologist Collin Witherow, there’s a large low pressure system developing over the northern plains. He says as two warm fronts in the upper midwest move norhteast with the storm system, it will bring in much higher temperatures than normal. Witherow says this warm spell will last only today, as more seasonal temperatures return for the weekend.
