With Super Sunday just around the corner, kitchens and living rooms all over the country are likely to be adorned with delicious snacks for the duration of the big game and beyond. Judi Van Huzlen, a Registered Nurse with the Marion County Public Health Department says some consideration to food safety should be given to keep everyone safe and healthy. She says recipes should be fully cooked and avoid raw ingredients, like eggs. Also, by following the two hour rule, where foods are left at room temperature for no longer than two hours, should greatly reduce the risk of contracting a food-borne illness.
