The Pella Aquatic Center has hired a new manager for that facility. Mallary Herring will take over for Jan Bensink who is retiring. Cit Administrative Services director Jenny Hesseltine says the city had 15 applicants for the position. The city chose Herring because she is highly qualified with certification in many safety and operational areas, and because of her experience coming from a similar position at the Ankeny Aquatic Center.
