Assistant Marion County Attorney Melissa Clarke recently attended a training course entitled “Digital Evidence: Investigation and Prosecution of Technology-Facilitated Child Sexual Exploitation”.

The two day course, led by the National District Attorney’s Association in connection with the National Center for Prosecution of Child Abuse, covered forensic examination of computers in child cases, search and seizure issues related to these types of investigations, computer technology and court-room preparation and strategy for such trials.

Marion County Attorney Ed Bull says it is essential for the professionals in his office to participated in continuing legal education that prepares them to prosecute child predators, and the NDAA continues to put on top notch courses. Bull says he is thrilled that Clark ecould attend the conference and is confident they are prepared to handle these types of cases when the need arises.
