Central College jumped up one spot to #5 in the USTFCCCA Division III men’s indoor track and field power rankings. The women’s squad improved to #21 after being listed at #24 last week.

The men’s team captured its second straight Iowa Conference title in front of a home crowd at the league indoor championships last weekend. Claiming eight event titles, the Dutch posted 212.16 points, just shy of their 2010 league record (213.83) and almost 30 points ahead of runner-up Wartburg College (183).

The women’s squad recorded its best indoor finish in school history, taking second with 118.5 points behind team champion Wartburg (251). The Dutch claimed crowns in two additional events and set another league-record in the 4×400-meter relay with a time of 3:56.35.
