Central College associate head coach Guy Mosher has been tabbed the Division III national men’s assistant coach of the year for the indoor track and field season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Mosher helped steer Central to a second-place national team finish. He coached three-event scorer Ethan Miller and NCAA pentathlon champion Kurtis Brondyke to 36 of the team’s 44 points at the national championships. The USTFCCCA national men’s field athlete of the year, Miller won the NCAA crown in the high jump and took runner-up honors in the long jump and pentathlon.

Mosher was earlier named the Central Region men’s assistant coach of the year. It’s the third straight season he’s received the award, being tabbed in the 2010 indoor and outdoor seasons.

In his 20th year with the Dutch, Mosher is a nationally recognized combined events coach. He has mentored athletes who have captured all-America honors more than 190 times in 12 events, including 17 national champions.
