Registration may be closed, but there is still a need for coaches for the more than 500 athletes who will be playing on local Little League teams this spring. Travis Thompson, President of the Little League Board of Directors says they’re planning for each of the 51 teams to have 2 coaches, and are about halfway to that goal. He says the Board is looking for volunteers who will not only teach about baseball, but act as mentors as well. There will be a Coaches meeting Wednesday night at 7pm in the lunchroom of the Middle School, and anyone interested in coaching Little League is encouraged to attend.
