A Des Moines man charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of a Knoxville woman pled not guilty yesterday. Terry Tobias Cobbins Jr. allegedly shot and killed Teresa Louise Miller in her Knoxville home on January 10th after being hired to commit the crime by Teresa’s husband Michael. A preliminary hearing was held yestarday in the Marion County Courthouse where Cobbins entered a not guilty plea. A trial date has been set for May 31st at 9am with a pretrial conference scheduled for April 29th in the Marion County Courthouse. Cobbins remains in the Marion County jail on a $1.5 million bond.

Michael Miller is also currently being held in the jail on a $1 million bond, the trial for his first degree murder charge is scheduled for May 10th.
