The recent warmer weather has allowed for area track and field teams to get out on the actual tracks they will compete on and do some more intense workouts. While many schools are on spring break…that does not mean they are taking the week off. Knoxville looks to have a solid year on the girl’s side especially in the distance races and field events. Coach Jeremy Van Engen says Cross Country Coach Mike Moats is working with the distance runners this season and he says it has a lot of benefits. In the recent Little Hawkeye Conference Indoor meet last week…Lydia Anderson placed first in the 800 and Alissa Van Klootwyk also had a good night in the 1500 placing second.
