Boaters and other outdoor enthusiasts will have at least two new amenities to take advantage of at the Elk Rock boat ramp this year. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources recently intalled a courtesy ramp, which will make launching and loading boats easier.

The DNR also added a waterless outhouse for convenience.
