Bald Eagle Day is tomorrow. The day begins at 11 am with presentations of live eagles and other raptors hourly at the Douwstra Auditorium. Following the indoor programming, a free shuttle will be available to take people to Lake Red Rock to view the birds live. Park Ranger Tracy Spry says this is the 23rd year for the event when people have an opportunity to view the animals up close. She says this is a prime time of the year to view the birds, with some migrating through the region right now. Spotting scopes will be available, but people are encouraged to bring binoculars. The free event is sponsored by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Marion County Conservation Board, Pella Wildlife Company and Central College.
