The gymnasium at Central College’s Kuyper Field House was filled with area pre-schoolers there for a Mini Olympic Games event Monday morning.

Eric Van Kley, Head Wrestling Coach and athletics educator at Central says the event offers both a fun morning for the kids and a great opportunity for his students in education to get an idea of how to interact with younger students.

Central students staffed various stations around the gym for a variety of games, everything from bowling to races to animal imitations and obstacle courses.

Pre-school students came from Pella, Knoxville, Pleasantville, Melcher-Dallas, Newton, Carlisle and Indianola came for the event sponsored by Central College and the Area Education Agency.
