The Marion County Natural Resources Conservation Service is now under new leadership. Jeff Mathias begins his new position as the local District Conservationist on Monday. Mathias comes to the Knoxville office after working in the Chariton NRCS office and takes over for former District Conservationist Jay Jung. The Natural Resources Conservation Service is a branch of the U.S. Department of Agriculture that provides technical assistance to farmers and private landowners and managers.
