The Knoxville Police Department is looking for information in regards to recent vandalism of Auld Park.

Dick Reed of the Knoxville Parks Commission and Dennis Webb of the Knoxville Street Department tell KNIA/KRLS news the park was damaged overnight yesterday with gold spray paint on electrical boxes and outlets and written obscenities on one of the shelters. Several improvements have been made to the park in the past year with more anticipated in the future.

Reed and Webb say the vandalism is most unfortunate and one of the keys to keeping Auld Park a family friendly place is increased oversight by neighbors in the area. Several people have reported malicious activity and the Parks Commission is appreciative of this assistance and hopes neighbors will continue this important oversight.

Anyone with information on the recent vandalism is asked to call the Knoxville Police Department at 828-0541.
