The Joan Kuyper-Farver Gallery at the Pella Community Center was filled with people examining the work of two Pella artists at a reception Friday night. Andrea Van Wyk and Melynda Van Zee were the artists featured in the exhibit entitled “Converging Paths: The Journey of Two Women”.
The women share a unique and shared history, Van Zee was a student of Van Wyk at Pella Christian 25 years ago. The two paint in contrasting, yet complimentary styles, and the artists say those qualities make for a very interesting exhibit. The two say the event was well put together by exhibit coordinator Lisa Davis-Kovarik, and were happy with the attendance of the reception.
