This fall, William Penn will welcome one of our area athletes to their football program. Sam Tvedt has decided to sign with William Penn to play football in 2011.
Tvedt is from Oskaloosa and is attending Pella Christian High School in this, his senior year. The 5-10, 170-pound running back was a first-team, second-team, and third-team all-state pick as well as a two-time all-district selection.
Tvedt joins a William Penn squad that was 10-1 (6-1 Midwest League) last fall and finished the regular season ranked No. 13 in the NAIA. The team shared the MWL crown for its first league title since 1976 and its fifth overall.
