The Pella City Council met in regular session last night. Council members approved a five year extension of the agreement with Brumark Properties, now set to expire in 2018, concerning the Roosevelt Road project from 2001. Council also approved the installation of a 4-way stop at the intersection of Broadway and Independence streets, a move tied to Central Colleges entry way signage plans. Members also accepted petitions for road closures from groups representing the Resurrecting Tin Car Show and Klompen Classic. The Council also set the date of May 3rd as the public hearing date for bids on the University street reconstruction project.
