Chemical cleaners are a relatively new development toward the effort of keeping your home presentable. However, these chemicals can be harsh and toxic and difficult to dispose of properly. A presentation at the library will give people tips on how to replace some of those cleaners. Sara Bixby, Director of the South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency says common household items can be just as effective and less costly. She says these products are much easier to dispose of as well. She’ll host the free presentation entitled “Saving the World with Vinegar and Baking Soda” at the library next Monday at 7 pm.
