A couple of varsity coaches in Knoxville have designs on expanding the weight room or build a complete athletic training facility. Wrestling Coach Eric Whitcome and Football Coach Troy Rider met with the school board recently with their ideas on how to expand the weight room and improve the athletic training facities at Knoxville. Whitcome says this facility would not only help out the athletes, but would also be used for physical education classes. Rider adds already several of the other coaches have expressed interest an improved facility. Both Rider and Whitcome says ultimately they would like to see a complete weight and cardio training facility that would be open to the entire student body. While they know cost is one concern, they hope that the more people hear about their idea of expanding the weight room at Knoxville, the more support in Knoxville they will get.
