Students, parents and community members are invited to a discussion on the dangers of “sexting” today. “Sexting” is the act of sending sexually explicit messages or photographs, primarily via mobile phone. However, Thursday’s event at the Melcher-Dallas High School will also touch on online crimes as well. Criminal Investigator Michael Ferjak of the Iowa Department of Justice will lead the presentation to help prevent such crimes from happening to children in the area.
The adult discussion will begin at 6:30pm in the Melcher-Dallas High School library and is open to the public.
