Unemployment numbers for the month of February have been released. According to Iowa Workforce Development, Marion County saw a slight increase in unemployment, from 7.2% to 7.5%. This number represents 1,280 unemployed workers in the county, up 50 from 1,230 a month ago. State-wide, the unemployment rate was 6.1%, down significantly from the national average of 8.9%
