If the weather holds up, all eight sports at Knoxville will be in action today. Boys track will head to Carlisle while the girls hoping to get in a meet for the first time in nearly three weeks are at the Charger Relays in Chariton. Boys Golf heads to Pella Christian for a triangular with the Eagles and Grinnell while the girls travel to Oskaloosa in a heads-up battle with the Indians. The Panther Tennis Squads also take on Oskaloosa with the boys staying home and the girls traveling. Boys and Girls Soccer are also going up against Oskaloosa. The girls will travel for a varsity only contest at 6:30 this evening while the boys will play a J-V/Varsity match. Panther Coach Jon Smith says even with the loss last night to Grinnell, he feels that his team can contend for a Little Hawkeye Conference title. Smith says they may have to go through at least two Little Hawkeye Conference teams in the substate to get back to the state tournament. Last season the Panthers had to beat Grinnell in the semi-finals and then beat Pella in the final.
