Sprint car fans have another opportunity this spring to be a permanent part of racing history. The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum has announced their first brick engraving date for 2011.
Race fans from around the world who make a tax-deductible gift of $250 by April 25th will be able to have a brick with their name or tribute added to the building. Supporters will also be able to select the location of their brick either in the building’s foyer or lobby, on a memorial wall in the museum or near the elevators at the entrance to the Hall of Fame on the second floor.
This year the Hall of Fame and Museum is launching an “Expand the Dream” campaign to help add staging and display space and fund expanded programs. Executive Director Bob Baker says donations for the inscribed bricks are more important now than ever. He says “the next ten years will easily be the most exciting in the organization’s history” and all fans are encouraged to become part of it.
