Most fundraisers conjure thoughts of candy bars and raffle tickets, but next week a differnt kind of fundraiser is planned to help out area schools. Ulrich Ford and Lincoln and the Ford Motor Company are sponsoring another Drive 4 UR School event.
Funds are raised by way of a pledge made by Ford Motor Company to donate $20 to Pella Community and Pella Christian Schools for each 20 minute test drive taken.
Morry Blankespoor, Development Coordinator at Pella Christian says Ulrich’s has hosted the event in the past and it has been successful. One driver over the age of 18 per home address can sign up for a test drive.
He says it’s one of the easiest ways to raise money for out local schools. If test drivers wear their Pella or Pella Christian gear, Ulrich’s will donate an extra $5 to the test drive.
Refreshments will be available and the fundraiser will be from 8-5 Saturday April 16th.
