The Pella Christian girls’ soccer team notched its second win of the year with a 6-0 shutout of Centerville Monday night. The Eagles’ attack struck early as Christina Nolte and Lindsey Pierson tallied goals at 5:30 and 7:00, repectively. Bri Warden scored twice (13:00, 25:00) and Shelby Sytsma (22:00) and Ana Macz (36:30) finished the Eagles’ scoring.
Coach Bill Collman rested his starters after the 6-0 halftime lead, since the Eagles will host South Tama on Tuesday in a conference match-up. “Obviously, I am pleased with the team’s production,” noted Coach Collman.
Goalkeeper Abbey DeBruin recorded her first shutout of the season.
